Our U.S. Sailing Instructor will be covering boat parts, knots, rigging, sail trim, weather, safety on the water, all while receiving hands-on training and so much more. Learn To Sail

Learn how to sail a Catalina 22 in this U.S. Sailing course. Our certified Instructor will be teaching additional seamanship skills in this intermediate class such as navigation, anchoring, reefing, use of VHF radio, sail trim, learning how to operate an out-board motor and so much more. All passing students will be receiving a U.S. Sailing Keelboat Certification, log book, and a free one-year membership with U.S. Sailing.  Students will be sailing the Pacific Ocean on the first day of class!

Must have a Del Mar Marina Power Boat Permit.  In order to acquire this permit, must pass the free Power Boat exam.  Study guide on the Camp Pendleton web site. Rent for $55 an hour or $180.00 all day

20' Pontoon Boat

This is our next level sail & power boat.  24 hours on our 25-foot sailboat and a proficiency checkout must be performed in order to advance to this boat. Rent for $45.00 an hour or $180.00 all day.

27' Blue Teal

This is our next level sail & power boat.  24 hours on our 22-foot sailboat and a proficiency checkout must be performed in order to advance to this boat. Rent for $40.00 an hour or $160.00 all day.

25' North Star

This is our smallest sailboat.  It is used in our Youth Sailing classes. Rented out for $25 an hour or $50.00 all day

RS Terra

Required to obtain a certification for the Expo.

13.5' Boston Whaler FISH

Occasionally we have guests that want to rent a slip for temporary usage.  Only active duty, retired, and DoD civilians may use this service.  DoD contractors and veterans are not authorized.  The patron must give us a minimum of 1 weeks’ lead time and make the reservation in person.  This is required to allow us to create a household as well as show them which specific slip they will occupy as well as plan for gate access and bathroom usage. The largest boat we currently accommodate is 35’.

Transient Slip Rental

Must have a Del Mar Marina Power Boat Permit.  In order to acquire this permit, must pass the free Power Boat exam.  Study guide on the Camp Pendleton web site. Rent for $40 an hour or $160 all day.

13.5' Boston Whaler OORAH

Allowed in both Del Mar and Oceanside Basin.  The nucanoe is another alternative to renting a double kayak.  $25 an hour or $75 all day.

This is required in order to rent a 27-foot.  Must have at least 24 hours logged at Del Mar Marina in a 27-foot.

30' Proficiency Checkout

Allowed in both Del Mar and Oceanside Basin.  Rent for $20 an hour or $60 all day.

Single Kayak

This is our entry level sail & power boat.  It is the minimum size to sail the open ocean.  It is used to perform proficiency checkouts as well as teaching students in our Basic Keelboat class. Rent for $35.00 an hour or $140.00 all day.

22' Sea Ya

This is required in order to rent a 25-foot.  Must have at least 24 hours logged at Del Mar Marina in a 22-foot.

25' Proficiency Checkout

One of our License Boat Instructors will sail personnel out on our 30' Boats 2hrs. minimum

Patrons may sleep aboard one of our sailboats, but the boat may not leave the dock.

Overnight Aboard

Allows patron to challenge a course and demonstrate proficiency on a 16.5 Capri.

27' Time Bandit

Double Kayak

This is required in order to rent a 27-foot.  Must have at least 24 hours logged at Del Mar Marina in a 25-foot.

27' Proficiency Checkout

This is our adult entry level sailboat.  Used in our Learn to Sail class. Rent for $30.00 an hour or $60.00 all day.

16.5 Capri

This boat is out of commission, but can be used for overnight rental at the dock only.  Cost for overnight on-board is $30.

E-Sea Day

This is our max size sail & power boat.  24 hours on our 27-foot sailboat and a proficiency checkout must be performed in order to advance to this boat. Rent for $50.00 an hour or $200 all day.

30' Arlion

This is our entry level sail & power boat.  It is the minimum size to sail the open ocean.  It is used to perform proficiency checkouts as well as teaching students in our Basic Keelboat class.  Rent for $35.00 an hour or $140.00 all day.

22' Island Breeze

Confined to the Del Mar Basin ONLY!  Seats up to 4 people.  $25 an hour.  No all-day rate.
